Remember reading Dick and Jane books, trying to learn to read?

These days the Bob Books have taken over.  

Using them, Gracie discovered the thrill of reading a book all by herself this weekend.

(Gracie is 4, mom is her typist)

It was like quite confusing cause I didn't know what to say.  I
can't beleive Miss Kim is my first teacher!



It's amazing because its not very.. like.. trying.
I'm not really swimming... I'm just going to my first day of school.



There were so many things, there was playgrounds and all this stuff.
Making the dog puppet was one of my favorite things I did this week.


I'm having cookies.. goodbye!

(Gracie is 4 and can't type so mom is her typist- these are her words)

We are happy that Miss Kim is our teacher. 



As soon as we left school I picked out a card for her with frogs on it.  We have a frog in our class and I got to pet it.

The children don't know me, and I don't know them.

Best thing in my classroom: the big robot

Favorite thing to do in class: play with the pretend food and my best friend

Favorite thing about Miss Kim:  She is nice and pretty

Favorite thing about the children:  they play a lot, like me

Favorite thing about school:  its my favorite thing that I have never done

(As soon as Gracie shared this with me she said, "Okay Mom, now post it!")

Gracie's just four years old.  She obviously doesn't type.  But she's got plenty to say.  So this is her space and Mom is her typist. 

We had back to school shopping to do for big sis, and of course we came across the lunch boxes and Gracie wanted one, as she gets ready to go to school for the first time.  Click to watch the video.

Just because we clunked that Thermos around, don't think we won't put it back, especially after discovering a major problem for this 4 year old.

We wound up getting a lunch bag that looks like a purse and zips! Whoo hooo! The countdown is on to the first day of school!

(Gracie can't type so mom, her typist is typing up what she says in her blog)

"I am so excited to meet my own teacher Miss Kim. 

The whole class is going to be there and I can't wait to meet my new friends. 

My mom took me to school one day last year, so I've already seen the classroom. Here's what I liked about it:  the cowboys and other toys. 

I hope on the first day Miss Kim will teach me stuff and I will know all the things she tells me.
